Passions

Design is about enabling people to have great experiences and exceed natural limitations in easy and enjoyable ways. Design leadership is about enabling teams to be successful at great design. I'm passionate about doing both well.

I believe that to be serious about design is to realize a duality of always reaching beyond while learning to achieve excellence within constraints. And I think this is as true of working with people as it is of creating. I love design and I love people. And I love to help a group of people design great things for other people. The medium, context, tools, and parameters change, but the goal of making something that simply works well doesn't. That's what drives me.
